Individual Member
All interested persons shall be eligible to become Individual Members. An Individual Member shall receive benefits of membership, voting rights, is eligible to hold board seats and pays dues as determined by the Board of Directors in accordance with these Bylaws. Individual Memberships include one subscription to Wildfire Magazine, discounted subscription to the International Journal of Wildland Fire and discounted conference registration rates.
Student Member
Student members shall be undergraduate or graduate students within the broad field of fire science, technology or management and related natural, physical and social sciences. A Student Member shall receive benefits of membership and pay dues as determined by the Board of Directors in accordance with these Bylaws for not more than a period of five years. Student Memberships do not have voting rights and are not eligible to hold board positions. Student Memberships include one subscription to Wildfire Magazine, discounted subscription to the International Journal of Wildland Fire and discounted conference registration rates.
Volunteer or Seasonal Firefighter Member
All Seasonal and Volunteer Firefighters are eligible to become members. A Seasonal/Volunteer Firefighter Members shall receive benefits of membership, voting rights, is eligible to hold board seats and pays dues as determined by the Board of Directors in accordance with these Bylaws. Seasonal/Volunteer Firefighter Memberships include one subscription to Wildfire Magazine, discounted subscription to the International Journal of Wildland Fire and discounted conference registration rates.
Library Member
Associations, institutes, societies, firms, corporations, organizations, boards, bureaus, commissions and departments of agencies of states and national governments shall be eligible to become Corporate/Library/Organization Members. Corporate/Library/Organization Members do not have voting rights and are not eligible to hold board positions. Includes one subscription to Wildfire Magazine.
Corporate 5
Associations, institutes, societies, firms, corporations, organizations, boards, bureaus, commissions and departments of agencies of states and national governments shall be eligible to become Corporate 5 Members. Corporate 5 do not have voting rights and are not eligible to hold board positions. Corporate 5 Membership includes 5 subscriptions to Wildfire Magazine. This rate includes delivery of the bundle to the Corporate 5 Member s designated address, internal distribution to be undertaken by the Corporate Member.
Agency (for Land and Fire Agencies)
This membership entitles the agency to receive 2 hard copies of the world renowned International Journal of Wildland Fire published by CSIRO; 5 hard copies of Wildfire magazine, the official magazine of the IAWF; and on line access to the IJWF for all your employees. Agency members do not have voting rights and are not eligible to hold board positions.
Lifetime Member
An individual, who in the determination of the Board, has rendered the Association exceptional services of the highest order over a substantial period of years shall become eligible to become a Lifetime Member. Each Lifetime Member shall have all the rights and benefits of an Individual Member, but shall be exempt from the payment of dues.
