Meg Dolman

Originally from England, Meg relocated to Boise, Idaho, to advance research on human and wildfire interactions. Her PhD work with the Human-Environment Systems group at Boise State University focuses on reducing human exposure to wildfire hazards using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Meg is a recipient of the Joint Fire Science Program Graduate Research Innovation (GRIN) award, which supports her work mapping built infrastructure using remote sensing. Alongside her PhD, Meg serves as a Trustee Fellow on The Nature Conservancy Idaho Chapter Board of Trustees, contributing her expertise to conservation initiatives. Collaboration is central to her work, and she has actively engaged in partnerships to facilitate knowledge exchange between the US and UK on community wildfire resilience and property protection. Additionally, she has worked with Leave No Trace to develop best practices for minimizing the spread of invasive plant species in recreational areas. Beyond her specific research interests, Meg is passionate about science communication and education. She holds an M.Sc. in Biodiversity, Conservation, and Management from the University of Oxford and a B.Sc. in Physical Geography from Royal Holloway, University of London.
