Bird of a Feather Sessions
We are pleased to announce that the 2nd Human Dimensions of Wildland Fire Conference will feature "Birds of a Feather" sessions, to be held on Wednesday afternoon, April 28th. A Birds of a Feather (BoF) session provides a gathering place and discussion forum for those interested in the same issues and concepts. BoFs can be organized for sharing ideas on the specific topics, whether narrow or broad. These are not workshops or sessions where people present papers, but open, "brainstorming" forums for attendees who want to get together with others to share their current interests, goals, technology, environment, or backgrounds. If you want to organize a “Birds of a Feather” session, please send the following information to Mikel Robinson, at mikel.robinson@umontana.edu, no later than April 5th:

BoF topics should be appropriate to the conference. The Conference Steering
Committee will make the final decision and schedule the BoF sessions into
timeslots and locations. A list of scheduled BoFs will be posted in the
registration area at the conference and will also be available on this web page.
Please note that audio/visual equipment, including projection equipment, will not be available for BoF sessions.

The conference proceedings for the IAWF 2nd Human Dimensions Conference will be published electronically and posted approximately 6 months after the conference. The deadline for paper submission is June 25, 2010. The guidelines will be sent out shortly, as well as posted on the conference webpage.
