We strongly encourage authors to review
A Scrutiny of the
Abstract (pdf) prior to submitting their abstract.
Abstracts should be
submitted under the following areas of interest:
~ Physical Sciences
~ Biological Sciences
~ Social Sciences
~ Economics
~ Other
Authors will also be asked to categorize their paper in general terms (e.g., fire behavior,
fire ecology, fire weather, fire effects, fire suppression, fire management,
prescribed fire, etc.)
Given the A Scrutiny of The Abstract - The abstract should be
organized as follows:
~ A sentence describing the purpose of the presentation.
~ A statement of approach.
~ A summary of key message and implications, presented in sufficient
detail to support the conclusion.
~ A statement of conclusions or recommendations.
The following proposal types will be accepted for review:
~ Oral Presentation only
~ Poster only
~ Oral Presentation and Poster Presentation
~ Either Oral or Poster Presentation
We encourage oral presentations that are supported by a poster.
All abstracts will be reviewed, and notification of acceptance will be made
by 19 April 2010.
